East Coast UPS Weather Delays Update

As I’m sure everyone on the east coast is aware of, there’s a historic snowstorm hitting the area. Unfortunately, this can result in some delays for shipping. The following is the list of areas and zip codes that are currently experiencing UPS shipping delays:

Holiday Shipping Deadlines

We’ve got this on our main website, but just in case people are having issues finding our shipping deadlines, I wanted to post them again up here on the blog.

When Stock Status Is:	UPS Ground	UPS 3 Day Select	UPS 2 Day Air	UPS Overnight
Usually ships within 24 hours	See Above Map	Dec. 21	Dec. 22	Dec. 23
Usually ships in 2-3 business days	See Above Map and Add 3 Business Days	Dec. 16	Dec. 17	Dec. 18

All you need to do is look for your state, find the color that matches on the transit days chart and you’ll know how long it will take. As of today (12/17), if you live in the green or yellow zones, you need to order with one of our express shipping options in order to get your package in time for the holidays.

Keep in mind that your order has to be in by 1PM MST for it to ship the same day. Also everything we sell ships within 24 hours, so be sure to check the availability (we have some items that ship in 2-3 days and some that ship in 1-2 weeks).

PoolDawg Holiday Shipping Deadlines

Seeing how we’re in the thick of the holiday season, I wanted to do a special blog post detailing our shipping cutoffs and deadlines. First off, be sure to check the availability note on each product page. In most cases, items will ship within 24 hours, but there are some items that we carry which have a 2-3 day lag and some of the larger items can take 1-2 weeks to ship.

That being said, here are the standard shipping deadlines:

3 Day Select – December 19th by 1PM MST
2 Day Air – December 22nd by 1PM MST
Overnight – December 23rd by 1PM MST

These deadlines are only for items that are marked as “shipping within 24 hours”. For items that ship in 2-3 days, just tack on 2-3 business days to the above deadline. As for ground shipping deadlines, take a look at the map below (if its too small to read, just click it to enlarge):

Please note that our daily UPS cutoff is 1PM MST (3PM EST, 2PM CST, 12PM PST). If the item is in stock and we get the order before 1PM MST, we’ll be able to get it shipped out that same day. All orders received after the 1PM cutoff will ship out the next business day.
