Well, after five years PoolDawg finally has itself a brand new commercial. We felt the old one had run its course, so we decided to put together something new and a little different. So for those of you who can’t wait until November 15th to see it (when it will officially air on ESPN for the Pacific Coast Classic). We actually shot a few different versions of this, so I’ll upload them sometime soon.
In just a few days our pal Samm Diep has made herself at home here at Casa de PoolDawg. With the help of our trusty bulldog Frank, Samm is starting to get the hang of the whole working 9-5 thing. Frank had to step in on a few occasions to take over on calls, but after a day or so, Samm was diving for the phone like a pro.

The real test has yet to come though. While the media wants everyone to think that “Cyber Monday” is the biggest shopping day of the year for online stores, in reality the biggest shopping day usually comes sometime in mid-December. She handled Cyber Monday with ease, but that was just a tune up for the main event.
The Carolina Classic starts today as the top 64 players in women’s billiards make their way to Durham North Carolina. We’ll be updating the blog throughout the week with highlights and results and Frank will be posting updates with the help of our favorite WPBAer Debbie Schjodt on his blog.
Once the WPBA announces the initial draws we’ll let you know. Be sure to check back frequently for tournament updates!
Let’s get the checklist out for Frank’s new pad:
WordPress Account? Check.
New URL? Check.
Flickr Account for Frank’s party pix? Check.
Looks like we’ve got the basics down, but starting from scratch is never a fun thing, especially if you’re a dog with no opposable thumbs! Even so, Frank’s in good spirits and blogging away, so be sure to stop by and check out his new digs at http://www.franksdawghouse.com. Knowing Frank, he’ll find some way to give stuff away so stay tuned over there and look for an announcement of some sort of contest in the coming weeks.
Well, we just had to disconnect to 1,600 friends today thanks to our pals over at MySpace. It seems that for some unknown reason, MySpace decided to delete our account. No warning, no notice, no nothing. We went to log Frank in this afternoon and poof… Frank’s page is gone. We don’t know what happened, but needless to say, we’re no longer fans of the MySpace and Frank is one very, very sad bulldog.
Because we’re all about silver lining’s here at PoolDawg, we’re looking at this as a kick in the butt for us to get Frank’s site up and running. We’ve registered his blog and a domain name for him, but it will take some time to get everything up and running on the new site (thank god we kept copies of all the pictures!). So, be the first to visit Frank at his new pad. Until the domain is up, you can find Frank at http://frankdawg.wordpress.com. Be sure to log in and follow the adventures of Frank. As an added bonus, you can track how long it takes for Frank to rebuild after Hurricane MySpace swept through and blew his dawg house down.
Edit: The domain is up and running, so you can now find Frank at http://www.franksdawghouse.com.
As promised, our pal Debbie Schjodt sent over tons of pictures from her recent win at the Ladies Spirit tour stop at Amy’s Billiards in Florida. In true Debbie fashion, she and Frank headed down to the bar after her win to celebrate.

I’m not going to post all the pictures here on the blog, mostly because there are just so many of them, but if you want to check out all the photos, you can find them at Frank’s MySpace page. Also, I wanted to give a big thank you to Debbie’s friend and fellow Spirit Tour pro Niki Rasmussen for showering our little Frank with so much undeserved attention!
Next stop for Debbie will be next week at the WPBA US Open at the Riverwind Casino in Norman, Oklahoma. If you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and say hi to Debbie and Frank!
