WPBA Championships Start Without Jasmin Ouschan
As has been reported in a few different places, the 2008 WPBA Championships will proceed without arguably the hottest player in pool. It was announced that Jasmin Ouschan was suspended by the WPBA for competing in the 10 Ball World Championships in Manila which conflicted with the Pacific Coast Classic.
According to reports, Jasmin was suspended for two matches, which means she won’t be participating in the Championships this weekend and will be sitting out of the first match in 2009 which has traditionally been the San Diego Classic. This decision will likely have a serious impact on Ouschan’s WPBA rankings for 2008 and 2009. Ouschan is in the process of appealing the ruling and a final decision should come down sometime in the next 30 days.
