When you purchase a cue through our website nearly all of our cues are going to come with a standard shaft. This means that your cue is going to come with the regular maple colored shaft. Most pool cues come this way and it is a rare find when there is a cue that is colored from the butt all the way through the shaft.
Most pool cues come with this standard shaft. Some of them for instance Meucci cues have a collar on the shaft that matches up with the butt, but otherwise the shaft is a maple wood color. Instead of picturing the standard shaft with our cues we only picture the butt of the cue that contain all of the designs, inlays, images, and colors.
So when and if you plan on buying a pool cue with pooldawg.com you should know that when you receive your cue the butt is going to look like the picture and it is going to come with the standard shaft. These shafts are still the same brand of the cue, however the color will be like a regular pool cue you see in a pool hall.
If you are looking for something that is entirely one color pooldawg.com does carry one of these cues. This is the Scorpion graphite cue that is all black from top to bottom. However, this is a graphite cue and not the standard wooden pool cue. Just be sure to remember that besides this cue almost every other cue we sell at pooldawg.com is going to have the maple wood colored shaft.
