Why Doesn’t My Schon Cue Look Like the Picture on your Website?

While most of the pool cues we sell look pretty much exactly how they do in the pictures on the PoolDawg website, Schon is a definite exception to the rule.  Schon cues are considered to be a custom pool cue.  What this typically means is that every cue is going to be somewhat unique, whether it be in the amount of personality in the maple, the color of the veneers or the material used in the inlays.  The basics of the cue are going to be the same, but some of the materials, stains and veneers might vary.  Let’s use the Schon CX05 as an example:

If you look at this cue, you’ll notice that the cue features granite inlays.  While the design of the cue is always the same, sometimes we get versions of the CX05 that have malachite inlays or turquoise inlays.  In other cases, we’ve received a batch of a Schon model where some had plum veneers while others had black and still others had red.

Schon makes an outstanding cue, but whenever you’re looking to buy a Schon, we recommend that you always call first to make sure that the stain, inlays and veneers are what you’re going to expect.   In addition, because these cues are in such high demand and are made in such limited quantity, please call to make sure the model and weight you want is in stock.
